Accessory Dwelling Unit. A small, legal second home on your property — backyard cottage, garage conversion, basement suite. In WA, you can have one of each. House family. Earn rent. Future-proof your space.
DADU
Detached. Standalone backyard cottage. Highest rent, biggest privacy.
AADU
Attached. Basement or garage suite. Lower build cost, faster to permit.
JADU
Junior. Carved out of existing footprint. Usually under 500 sqft.
